Winter in Chicago

Winter in Chicago

Because of the altitude of Taiwan, it’s not easy to see the snow. So when I saw the snow in Chicago, it was really interesting for me. The place that we saw the heavy snow was outside of a shopping mall. And there was also the wind which chills to the bone with the snowing. I took off my glove and grabbed the snow on the ground. I found that the snow besides icy also dry. It’s pretty different from the ice in the refrigerator. The most surprising thing was that I looked at the snow on my hand carefully; it really showed a crystalline snow shape that I read in the textbook. Before travel to the US, I always have an idea that we can only observe the crystalline shape snow via the microscope. It’s beautiful and impressive to see the snow. However, I think if there is always snow in our daily life, it seems not so interesting.
